Ladybug larvae eating an aphid

It's not an orchid, it's a rose bush, but it was so cool to see the ladybug larvae eating an aphid. The other aphids around fled to the other side of the flower - mass exodus!

Those long things sticking out of the larvae's mouth are aphid legs!

While I'm digressing about ladybugs, here are some photos of a ladybug just emerged from it's larvae body.

Pendulous Cymbidium

Lowianum 'Green Oaks' x Mighty Mouse
I bought this plant last year knowing it was too young to flower. These are its first flowers and my first pendulous cymbidium. I love the graceful arc of the spike.
