It's not an orchid, it's a rose bush, but it was so cool to see the ladybug larvae eating an aphid. The other aphids around fled to the other side of the flower - mass exodus!
Those long things sticking out of the larvae's mouth are aphid legs!
While I'm digressing about ladybugs, here are some photos of a ladybug just emerged from it's larvae body.
I like things made by hand. Homemade bread, home grown food, eggs harvested from chickens in the yard. I want to know where my food comes from. I grow vegetables, berries, orchids and succulents. I keep chickens and bees. I am fascinated by insects. So many hobbies, so little time...
